Default sampling quality

Hey fellas, newbee to the forum please be nice

Got an issue with sampling qulity, doesn't matter what i do i can't rid myself of the noise.

settings i have are:
min: 1
max:16

Type: mitchell

Contrast
0.2 on all 4

lock samples: off
jitter: on


the materials have AO turned on and are set to sampling quality 64

the lighting is mr sky/sun with sky portals with sun shadow quality set to 16.

What am i missing?

string $astrShadingEngines[] = `ls -type shadingEngine`;
for($sg in $astrShadingEngines)
setAttr ($sg + ".miExportShadingEngine") 1;


Try running the above script in your maya session and then re exporting your scene. See if that helps.
