Subsurface Shader Library

The subsurface shader library contains the "physical" and "fast" subsurface scattering (aka "SSS") shaders.

Physical SSS

For rendering true physical light scattering through (homogenous) substances.

Fast SSS

A "fake" for quickly rendering a subsurface scattering effect primarily intended for the visual effects business, with a special aim towards rendering human skin.
